When starting an agroecological project that applies regenerative techniques based on sustainability principles, a key challenge is to achieve sustainability at three fundamental levels: environmental, social, and economic. Currently, one of the main problems and limitations that agroecological farmers face is the efficient management of weeds without increasing economic pressure through excessive labour costs. The system adopted by Os Biosbardos farm avoids herbicide use, exploring methods based on different variations of soil coverage techniques.
