Robotic weeding requires the use of machines, either tractor mounted or autonomous robots. These have cameras to detect weeds between crop rows (and individual crop plants for some systems) and then controls weeds directly either by mechanical control, lasers or targeted spraying. This weed control solution requires high-tech equipment that is well suited to high value wide row spaced crops such as field vegetables.
