From 6th to 9th May, a team of experts from the Farmers’ Parliament visited Great Britain as part of the OPER8 project to exchange experience on innovations in weed control.
On first day we met with ADAS Boxworth representatives and visited some field trials locally focusing on grassweed control in cereals. We also had the opportunity to visit some glasshouse and polytunnel trials. Hosted by Lynn Tatnell.
On 7th of May we continued our visit to agricultural research institute “Rothamsted Research”, we got acquainted with the main challenges that are currently relevant for British farmers in crop care and weed control. We also had the opportunity to see the world’s oldest – more than 180 years – Broadbalk classical experiment and Park Grass long-term experiments. https://www.rothamsted.ac.uk/
On 8th May we visited UK magazine’s “Farmers Weekly” organized event “Transition Live 2025”, where we had the opportunity to visit project OPER8 stand and project partners from UK.



“Transition Live 2025” brings together farmers, policymakers and industry experts for a day of knowledge sharing, collaboration and networking and addresses topics on sustainable farming – both financially and environmentally.
