Weeds remain one of the biggest challenges for sustainable crop production. In the Oper8 project we have been working on an exchange of methods in alternative weed control in a network across EU.
The results are now available as factsheets, practice abstracts, demonstration videos, podcasts, newsletters, E-learning module and other materials.

We are sharing knowledge for a greener future
Oper8 project provides knowledge and tools for farmers, advisors, and policymakers across Europe. The materials are available in 7 languages and have been produced by the operational groups that are involved in the project, farming organizations, applied researchers and academic institutions across Europe.
The Fact sheets and Practice abstracts have been produced by partners in all participating countries, Greece, Italy, France, Spain, UK, Latvia and Sweden and they are based on Best Practices identified in each country to reduce the use of herbicides. The practices are categorized as mainly applicable in Vineyards, Horticultural crops or Arable crops.
Short videos have also been produced to highlight some of the Best Practices. They have often been recorded in conjunction with the demonstration activities arranged during the project.
In the Knowledge Bank you will find:
- Over 80 fact sheets in 7 languages
- 100 Practice abstracts
- Over 50 demo videos
