Weed management in arable crops is based on preventive practices and targeted techniques that reduce the competitiveness of weeds. In this context, mechanical weeding, supported by precision agriculture technologies, represents an effective and sustainable solution. The combined use of sensors and positioning correction systems such as RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) allows for the precise recording of the crop’s location during sowing or transplanting. This information is essential for guiding subsequent mechanical interventions selectively, avoiding cultivated areas. Thanks to their centimeter-level accuracy, RTK systems also assist the operator during turning and repositioning on the row and allow for precise knowledge of the implement’s working position, thereby increasing both the accuracy and operational efficiency of the entire system.
