Eco-ploughing is a form of ploughing but can be considered shallow tillage (8–20 cm). It reduces erosion and energy use, preserves soil, and controls annual weeds, but is less effective on perennials and heavy soils, and unsuitable for deep-rooted crops. It should be integrated with other practices.
