SUMMARY:The conservative management of the cover crop in vineyard using a Roller Crimper
DESCRIPTION:Cover crops (CCs) are used in vineyards to deliver a number of ecosystem services\, including soil erosion prevention\, water infiltration and storage\, reduced nutrient losses\, increased organic matter content and competition with weeds. In conservation agriculture\, CCs can be terminated and residues can be retained on soil surface and act as a dead mulch to suppress the weeds\, also protecting the soil from rapid desiccation and keeping the soil moisture at good levels during the summer season. A method to terminate CCs in organic no-till systems is to use roller crimpers (RCs). There is a higher termination rate when RCs are used at least from the flowering stage of legume CCs and the anthesis of grass CCs. In this demo event we will show a new RC for vineyard built by Dondi srl\, that have the possibility to increase its weight by adding ballast modules. The CC tested is a mix the includes: phacelia\, vetch and triticale.

SUMMARY:Towards more diversified cropping systems
DESCRIPTION:NEW STRATEGIES FOR WEED CONTROL\nThe EU has an ambitious goal of reducing the use of pesticides in agriculture by 50% by 2030. There is therefore a need to review which methods could best help us get there. Reducing the use of herbicides is an important area\, as they account for approx. 33% of the sales value of pesticides in the EU and more and more weeds are becoming resistant to herbicides. It is also difficult to develop herbicides with new mechanisms of action. Communicating\, demonstrate and promoting alternative solutions for weed control is therefore important. \nThis webinar is held in Swedish and is an arrangement between Länsstyrelsen in Sweden and Agroväst – Gröna Möten

SUMMARY:Swedish Drone day
DESCRIPTION:At the Swedish Drone day\, 13th of April\, Spraydrone will demonstrate how site-specific applications of herbicides can be performed using drones carrying the plant protection agent. \nAgroväst will also inform about the Oper-8 project in general and in particular the OG where maps for within-field demands for herbicides are being produced.
